About this blogger...Ron Rosenbaum was born in Manhattan and grew up in Bay Shore, Long Island. He graduated with a degree in English literature from Yale and spent a year at Yale Graduate Schoool before leaving to become a writer full time, beginning at The Village Voice and Esquire. His journalism and essays have since appeared in many periodicals including Harper’s, The New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic and The New Yorker. Many of these are collected in The Secret Parts of Fortune. He spent ten years investigating the attempts by post war historians, biographers, philosphers and theologians to account for Hitler’s evil which resulted in Explaining Hitler In 2004, he edited an anthology of essays on anti-semitism, Those Who Forget the Past. His new book is The Shakespeare Wars: Clashing Scholars, Public Fiascoes, Palace Coups (RandomHouse, 2006). He was co writer on the PBS/Frontline documentary, “Faith and Doubt at Ground Zero”. He lives in New York where he writes a bi-weekly column on cultural questions for The New York Observer. |
